Last 25th August Pragmata Institute organized the parteicipation of the Italian State Secretary for European Affairs, Hon. Sandro Gozi, to the Rimini Meeting. Hon.Gozi took part to the panel titled "Immigration and the needs of others: Italy, Europe and the World". Other participants of the panel were: Admiral Giuseppe De Giorgi, Chief of the Italian Navy; H. E. Msgr. Michele Pennisi, Archbishop of Monreale; H.E. Msgr. Silvano Maria Tomasi, Permanent Observer of Holy See to the United Nations;Ms. Carla Trommino, Representative of the AccoglieRete Association.

The panel hase been introduced by Roberto Fontolan, Director of the Communion and Liberation International Center. The panel focused on the mission of the Italian Navy called "Mare Nostrum", in particular regarding its role of securing the Southern border of Europe and providing assistance to migrants and refugees. The panel stressed also on the issue that European Union has to be more involved financially in this operation and in supporting the Italian Government. Secretary of State Hon. Gozi,after the conclusion of the panel, had several meetings with important stakeholders and authorities, among which:Minister of Finance of the Republic of San Marino, Hon. Claudio Felici;  Minister for Health of the Republic of San Marino, Hon. Francesco Mussoni; Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of San Marino, Hon. Pasquale Valentini, and Cardinal George Pell, Prefect of the Secretariat for the Economy of the Holy See.
