From last 12th to 15th October 2014, a delegation form Niger visited Italy in order to have institutional meetings with Italian Authorities. The delegation consisted of the following people:

- Mr. Baoua Garba, Secretary General of the Ministry for Water Resources of Niger;

- Mr. Atahirou Karbo, Director General of Water Resources, Ministry of Water Resources of Niger;

- Mr. Motary Ousmane, President of the Regional Council of Zinder;

- Mr. Malam Ligaru Maïrou, President of the Regional Council of Diffa.

The visit of the Niger delegation has been a step further for the execution of the Five-Year Investment Plan (2013-2017) of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) exposed during the Donors Conference for the Revitalization of the Lake Chad held in Bologna and Rimini last 4th and 5th April. Pragmata Institute being actively involved in the organizxation of the Donors Conference for the Revitalization of the Lake Chad, contribuited also in the organization of this visit of the Niger delegation to Italy. The delegation met the following people:

- Professor Romano Prodi, President of the Foundation for the World Wide Cooperation and former Italian prime Minister, former President of the European Commission and former UN Special Envoy for Sahel;

- Mr. Luca Vecchi, Mayor of the city of Reggio Emilia;

- Officers of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) in the persons of Prof. Emilia Chiancone, President of the Academy of Science of Italy (Accademia dei XL), and Mr. Roberto Reali, Responsible of relations between the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and Expo Milan 2015.;

- Mr. Gildo Baraldi, General Director of the Interregional Observatory for the Development Cooperation (OICS);

- Ms. Antonella Vidoni, representative of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and responsible for projects of decentralized cooperation;

- H.E. Mario Giro, Undesecrtary of State of the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs;

- H.E. Roberto Colaminé, former Italian Ambassador to Nigeria, responsible for cooperation with countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The outcome of this meetings has been succesful and the delegation received from these interlocutors several ways of supporting the Five-Year Investment Plan (2013-2017) of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC).
